Will this be the last we'll see of this at restaurants?

As some of you know, this is the final weekend in California that we can go out and get some foie gras. People have been tweeting their final farewells on Twitter. And for some chefs, they’re doing everything they can to reverse the ban.

I have never actually had foie gras in my life. I never had the opportunity to try it but I can imagine for those who have had it that they don’t want to see it banned.

For those out there that are taking their last meals of this during the weekend, where are you going?

I doubt I’d get a chance to try it this weekend due some work but I hope that maybe the ban will get lifted and that opportunity will be there for me again.

Maybe I’m reading too much into this tweet from Denny’s, but it’s an interesting idea. The link they provided is one to a blog that features a recipe to make pizza in cupcake form.

Obviously it’s not something we’d think Denny’s would tackle on, but when they released the bacon milkshake last year, I wouldn’t be surprised.

Would you try one of these?

I like it when people put together two different kinds of foods and make something new out of it. But pizza in cupcake form? I wouldn’t even know when to eat it during my meal.

Would Denny’s really seriously considering this? Doubt it. But I wouldn’t mind seeing them try.

I was on Twitter earlier today and I saw that the #steakover was a promoted trend and I decided to check it out. Apparently, it’s something that Walmart has put together for people thinking of doing a Father’s Day cookout this weekend.

Give it a look and tell me what you think. I love BBQs and I’m pretty sure the dads would love a great Sunday of grilled food too.

The first Friday of very June is marked as National Donut Day. With today’s celebration of donuts, I’d like to look back at one of our most famous, iconic donut eaters of all time.

I think every time I come across a box of donuts, I end up going for the maple ones first. Not necessarily the maple bars, but just anything maple.

And if the box has jelly donuts, game over. I am all over that. What’s your favorite donut?
